This image was created with JWildfire V0.50 (using the interactive renderer) and is an example for the improved image mapping capabilities. It is a raw fractal with applied image texture (color and bump map).

quite welcome sir... I may begin experimenting with JWildfire myself soon... I have a long MB render to finish and then I want to see if my machine is going to let me run JWildfire.... so if I am lucky, you may see some new flames from em in a few days...
Sounds good If it does not run from the first place just wait for the next version which comes in a few days. It will have a new/own launcher which will try to handle the numerous different computer configurations better
well, I did give it a try just a bit ago and it refuses to run. I get a little "loading" circle thing and then nothing... I tried re-installing Java Runtimes, got them from CNET and they installed without errors... but for whatever reason JWildfire simply won't start... I tried both the Batch file and the Java file and each does basically the same thing... the batch opens a DOS type window, then the little "loading" circle appears and revolves a bit then it goes away... with the Java file, I just get the revolving circle, and then again, it disappears and nothing more happens... my computer has never really liked Java very well to begin with.
I will wait and hope the next release will run for me, unless you know of some reason I would be having this trouble.
Yes, this is what I feared, this is the third party launcher I use, this thing makes only problems. I will replace it this week. You may start the j-wildfire.jar in the lib drawer directly, this should always work but you cant do renders in high resolution this way.
And if you are for search of inspiration or help with the program you are welcome to join our users group. You may even vote for new features there. But this requires a Facebook account as this is a Facebook group.

And thanks, my friend
